Ben's Run: Saturday, April 2, 2011 Location: Stonegate Elementary School 14811 Notley Road Silver Spring, MD 20905 On-line registration through EventBrite has ended. You can still make a donation on-line through this site. You can also register in person on Saturday morning at 7 am at the race for $25. For more information about Ben and the race course, visit bensrun.weebly.com. There will be prizes awarded for top male & female finishers in 4 age categories in the 5K and for the top male and female finishers 5th grade & under in the 1 Mile. There will also be a SILENT AUCTION before the race with amazing prizes, including Ravens and Redskins tickets, a champagne brunch at Black's, tickets to the 9:30 Club, Strathmore or Merriweather Post Pavilion, and free weeks of summer camp at some of the area's best camps. 7 a.m. Packet Pick-up & Registration Begins: pick up race number and t-shirt, or register in person if not pre-registered 8 a.m. Welcome. Road closures begin throughout the neighborhood. 8:15 a.m. Stretching and warm-up. 8:30 a.m. Both races begin. Roads will open back up as runners pass. 9 a.m.- 10:30 a.m. Family activities begin at school, races end, awards given to top finishers |

Important Information
$20 per person to register for 5K or 1 mile event. Children under age 5 are free. Strollers are permitted, but no skate boards or roller blades or skates.
Online registration ends Wednesday, March 30th. Individuals can register the morning of the race for $25.
**Donation checks can also be mailed to: CNMC, 801 Roeder Road, Suite 300, Silver Spring, MD 20910, Attn: Diana DellaVilla. Please note "Ben's Run" in the memo line of your check.
RACE EVENTS TAKE PLACE RAIN OR SHINE
Registered participants can pick up their Ben's Run t-shirt and number the morning of the race starting at 7 a.m.
Kid-friendly and dog-friendly dogs on leashes are permitted on the 1 mile course only for an additional $5. Please register yourself and your dog separately. Owners are responsible for their dogs at all times.
**Parking is limited. Please carpool or walk where possible. Small parking lots in Stonegate Park on Notley Road and Stonegate Swim Club at 220 Stonegate Drive. Street parking on side streets where available. PLEASE DO NOT PARK ON THE RACE ROUTES.**

Ben's Run
Ben's Run is now a Maryland nonprofit corporation and is in the process of being recognized by the IRS as a 501(c)(3) organization called Ben's Gift, Inc!
Thanks to everyone who came out and participated! It was truly an amazing day. We had 875 people and 40 dogs participate and we raised over $30,000 for the Center for Cancer and Blood Disorders at Children's National Medical Center. Ben would have been really proud. Thank you all!

IMPORTANT NOTE - if you previously registered and think you might be a contender to win your event, please go back into your order (you can do this by logging into the Eventbrite main My Tickets screen and choosing "Manage order") and add your gender and age group to your registration information. We will be awarding prizes to the top male & female finishers in the 5K in four age categories (5th grade & under, 6th-12th grade, 19-40 and 41 & up) and to the top male & female 5th grade & under finishers in the 1 mile.
